United Way Prepares Your Taxes for Free!
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in partnership with the IRS, Allan Hancock College and CalPoly, offers free tax help to people who generally make $56,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparations with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
They also advocate for our local residents to see if they qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), Child Tax Credit (CTC) and Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC).
Free tax preparation in Santa Maria every Saturday until April 4th by appointment only.
